Please help only have 48 hours!!!!

My mother and step father are going through a divorce My mother does not have a attorney and my step father does his attorney sent my mother papers but sent them to the wrong address which caused my mother to be in default so she went to court asking for a appeal and the appeal was granted but she now has two days to respond to the appeal and we have no idea what she is supposed to do or how she is supposed to respond can not afford an attorney and cant get one in 48 hours even if we could afford it The court originally said she had to pay half of 3000 in back taxes which were paid while they were still together when the government kept there tax refunds they are also trying to say that she has to pay realator fees on the house that was sold the house belonged to my step father and was his before the marriage so when they split he sold it due to not being able to afford it and he kept the profit from the home. they are also saying my mother has to pay half his attorney fees even though she makes less money then him??? how do we hurry up and respond to the letter that grants her her appeal!!! Please help
