Default Will this ever be over?

I am currently waiting on a court date to finalize my divorce but my lawyers office is telling me they are waiting on a Preliminary Default. What does this mean and how long will it be before I can get a court date?

Maybe they think your spouse is not going to respond--but they need to tell you exactly what is going on and what that means on your case!

It means your husband has failed to respond to the divorce summons.

I'm surprised they did not explain this in further detail. Ask questions when you do not understand. You're paying your attorney. He/she should explain the process.
