marital home/duductions canada

my husband is claiming deductions on our first marital home, he is on deed and title and mortgage, we now live in our second marital home, he is claiming proceeds from his sale of his home prior to our marriage that was put into our first marital home, can he do this?? I will be left with nothing. My lawyer states that if he has proof of these deductions then yes he can claimthem??? It was all put into the marital home where we had our first child in ? He is claiming all sort of deductions, just so that I do not get any of this second home I am living in. He is on every deed I am not on anything. {Please help.
