Question Victorian (Aust) law: Pertaining to abondoned goods.

I separated from my violent husband 15 months ago, Police were involved after he left and he has left all of his belongings at my home. Despite contacting his solicitor 12 months ago in attempt to have him retrieve his belongings, he has not responded, neither will his solicitor respond. How long am I legally required to keep his belongings here before I can dispose of them please?

Is there any court order on the issue?

You can file for divorce or seek a court order as the items due to the violence etc., but if you are still married you normally should not throw the items out.
