speeding up divorce process to prevent homelessness
California.........filing divorce by default. missing spouse, no children or any property, etc. cannot access retirement because "spouse" has not co-signed request for disbursement. why does it take 6 months? I just need a judge to sign off on it to verify divorce.

You can ask the court to accelerate it for good reason but normally they want to make sure the spouse is truly missing and you cannot find him in any way. Only then will the court let you proceed without the spouse being involved.
