MARRIED IN INDIA AND WANT DIVORCE IN CA, USA

Hi,
I am US citizen and residing in California for more than 7 years. We got married in Jan 1999. After marriage I came back to US. My wife came to US first time on H4 Visa in Jan 2000. She use to fight almost everyday as she never liked this place. She was a pampered child and belongs from a businessman family. She was in US for only 11months (Jan – Dec 2000). She lived in Indianapolis, IN for these 11 months. She doesn’t have anything other than just an ITN number, which we got at the time of tax filing. In these 11 months she become mother of baby girl who was born in Indianapolis, IN. She was back to India in Dec 2000 with baby and never came back to US after that. I tried to bring her back but it didn’t work, as she wants to start her own business in India. She never liked this place. They filed a case to harass my family and me but lost everywhere as god was with me. They went up to Supreme Court. From last couple of years they moved their business to some other state in India. We are not in touch anymore, as we don’t have anyway to contact them. We are separated since Dec 2000. I really want to get divorced in US and start a new life. Please advise if anyone has a situation like this. I want to file a Divorce in California as I am residing here for more than 7 years. Will there be any problem as my kid is US citizen.
