Default Mortgage question

My husband was divorced last July. The court said his ex needed to make a reasonable attempt to sell the house or refinance it in nine months. That will be this month on the 11th. he is going back to court to modify his $450.00 a week payments since he lost his job. His lawyer told him that if she even made an attempt to get a loan the court will do nothiing about him getting his name off that house. He quit claimed the house to her, and he filed backruptcy and put the house on his bankruptcy. How can he make her take his name off the house, the deeds the mortgages and anything that has to do with that house. He hasnt been living in that house for over a year and a half now and he wants his name off it. The ex also told him she was going to default on the 2nd mortgage. Can he be held responsible? What can he do to get his name off the house and can she be held in contempt for not refinancing or selling inthe 9 months. We live in Ct. The get the guy andy way you can state.

Default Re: Mortgage question

She can be held in contempt yes and/or you could ask the judge to set a forced sale date. If she does not sell say in 60 days it goes to auction or something similar.
