Default No-Fault Divorce!

My husband joined the navy and filed for a divorce in California. But we were married in Virginia. My question is can I contest California's jurisdiction over our divorce because he hasnt been a resident of California for 6 months or does he automatically have residency in Cali because of him being in the Navy?
