Legal Advice??
I need some legal advice. We separated Dec 31 2005, so we have been separated over a 1 yr now. After my separation and I paid my lawyer $3000 for that, I have been making payments as best as I can to pay that off, but the more I try and pay on it, I get more of a late fee than the payment is. Right now all I can afford is $25 a month, since my ex is late on child support, and my late fees are $30 a month, so it

You might want to try to negotiate a reduction. If you at least threaten bankruptcy that would also eliminate the debt and may cause him to negotiate.
