Order of Protection in Arkansas...Please help me!

I have been married to my disabled husband two times. Both times for 5 years each. We have two children together. He is an alcoholic and verbal abuser. We split up on Sept. 5 of this year for the last time. Two weeks before we split he told me if I ever took his kids from him that he would kill me. Since the split up, he told my sister(who told my day, who told me) that he is taking the house and kids no matter what it takes even if he has to kill me. In 2002 he held a gun to my head and told me he was going to kill me. I called the cops but they just took him to his mother's home. I have a copy of the incident report but it really only says that I called 911 that night for a disturbance, nothing else. I filed an order of protection and the judge signed it and set a court date. The court date is this coming Tuesday. I don't have a lawyer, he does. One of my sisters are supposed to testify that I had an affair a year ago. That is not true. When we split up a couple years ago we both had other people we were seeing.
I have several questions but really need to know what to expect at court on Tuesday. Will the judge determine custody or just drop/extend the order?
