In debt and wondering...
My friend has a huge problem. She had recently left her husband who resides in Texas, because he was cheating on her, and came home to Guam where they are originally both from. They were married in November of 2006 in court here on Guam. Through these past two years he has accrued a huge amount of debt for her. With the reason being that he has bad credit and a bad name. So everything basically went under her name. Monthly car payments, two overdue cellphone bills that total in the thousands, an unpaid car insurance from Guam, three bad bank accounts due to overdrafts and lack of payment, and so forth. She had just recently received word that he may still be married to another woman who resides in California (her husband and the other woman were married first). So if this proves true and my friend was in fact married to this man (on Guam) while he is still currebtly married to this other woman from the mainland (married in California) is her "current" marriage legal or void? And if it is void, what can she do about the debt that has accrued from this, igues, bind?

The second marriage would be invalid and he would have committed a crime.
