Default help

Indiana. My husband and i have filed for divorce, however we have not been to court yet. while married we purshased a home however my name is noton the title or mortgage. Can he put our home up for sell without my knowledge or permission?

No mortgage company or broker will question his legal right to sell the home.
However, since the house was acquired during the marriage, it is a shared asset. I think if you want to stop him you will need to file a motion with the court requesting that the house, and other assets, not be sold until disposition of the divorce.
If he does sell it, you can claim half the proceeds when the divorce is finalized.

File in court ASAP--Ask the court to stop the sale until the divorce is final.

The court is very likely to agree.
