I am a Canadian expatriate living in Qatar with my husband. I am considering separating from my husband. A lawyer in Alberta told me that they do not have jurisdiction over monies outside of Alberta (our money is in foreign joint bank accounts and overseas investments). Should my husband refuse to divide the money with me, how can I get a fair settlement? Thank you, Theg
