Husband is M.I.A.????

I live in the state of California and my current 'legal' husband lives somewhere in the state of Oregon. I am not sure exactly where. We were married in the state of Texas in the year 1999. We have three children together. I am on SSI and welfare. I want to get a divorce from him. What do I need to do? I am ABSOLUTELY clueless.

You had to announce him when you applied. The SSA can find him. Ask.

You can file for divorce. There are rules about what to do if you cannot find him.

Have you searched on line using the people finding tools? Many 'lost' people can be found that way.

Otherwise you can publish in a newspaper in the last place he lived for a set period of time. If he does not respond a judge will give you a divorce. Go to legal aid, they can help you with his.
