Confused What are the consequences on my italian girlfriends divorce if she moves to the UK?

OK here goes, slightly complicated situation, I have been seeing a woman I met whilst working in Southern France, the relationship has been conducted in secret because she is separated but not divorced, there are a number of points I need to clarify to determine where we go from here. She is Romanian and is currently married to an Italian, they were married in Italy, and she currently lives in France close to the Italian border. She was told she could not get a divorce in France due to the close proximity of her residence to the Italian border, she filed for legal separation in Italy about a year ago, the husband is opposing the divorce. She believes that she cannot leave the area because she is required to attend court for judicial hearings to confirm whether they have reconciled, and will be automatically deemed "at fault" by the Italian legal system if she does not attend, I am certain there must be a vehicle by which this can satisfied without actual presence. Our relationship has been conducted entirely in secret as she believes that under Italian law if she is even seen with another man her husband can file against her for adulteryand she would be liable for the entire cost of the divorce even though she filed for separation a year before we even met. She is an Italian citizen by virtue of her marriage. I want to get her as far away from her abusive and manipulative soon to be ex-husband as possible and as quickly as possible.

If she were to move to the UK with me, could she file for divorce in the UK, or do the separation procedings in Italy take precedence?

If in her view the relationship had broken down beyond reconciliation before we met would he have any way to use our relationship against her in legal procedings?

What are the likely financial implications of her admitting fault to speed up the divorce process?

There is no community property or children involved.

Please excuse the rather fractured nature of the posting but I have tried to include as much pertainent information as possible. Any serious advice would be greatly appreciated

M.
