Hello. I have a girlfriend who is going through a divorce/annulment even though "she was never technically married". She has a child with her current
"husband" and is trying to get a divorce. She informs me that the marriage certificate was never notarized but they filed taxes together for a couple years. My question is, was she ever technically married if the certificate/license wasn't notarized. This took place in OH about 6 years ago and she now lives with me in Colorado. Does she need to get a divorce, or annulment? Or was she ever technically married? We are having a child together and I want to ensure the prior father will not have any rights over my child expected next January as well. |
