dont know my entitlements

i have been married for over 10 yrs and recently my husband told me he had slept with somone else of course this devestated me. he said he ended the "affair" but i doubt it, i have my suspicions its still going on.anyway, things between us have been on and off for a while and i just cant live like this .. always wondering if he's doing things behind my back again.

i have thought about divorce but i want to know what am i entitled to as far as our house is concerned. we both pay on the mortgage and our names are on the title. he has suggested a "buy out" but i dont know if that's a wise decision being i dont know what is a fair price or what i'm legally entitled to.
i dont want a messy divorce and i do not want to take something that isnt mine to begin with. i just want what is fair. we have seperate checking and savings accounts becaues he doesnt want me to spend his money. we both work full time. he makes considerably more than i do. Do i go with the "buy out" meaning he wants to give me a settlement. the house is worth between 220-240k. plus all the cars we have are in his name not mine.. does that matter in a divorce?

no there was no pre-nup when we got married.

the problem is that the downpayment on the house was from a inheritance back in 2004, it was for 100k. he put that down on the house and he had my name put on the title because he didnt want to pay the mortgage himself, like i said we split it. Does he get back the 100k when / if we divorce? i'm not sure how that works.

what you both acquired during marriage normally will be split subject to basic fairness considerations given your position, work experience, etc.
