SEPARATED 2 YEARS
I LEFT MY HUSBAND 2 YEARS AGO AND WAS NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE ANYTHING BUT MY CLOTHES, I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN VA WITH A FRIEND, I LEFT BECAUSE HE WAS A DRUNK WITH A BAD TEMPER, BUT NOW I HAVE SAVED UP ENOUGH MONEY TO GET MY OWN PLACE AND HE WILL NOT LET ME AHVE ANY BELONGING IN THE HOUSE, AND MY NAME IS STILL ON THE HOUSE. DO I HAVE ANY RIGHTS?

Yes, you have rights. Are you still married? You can divorce him and would probably entitled to half of the assets of the marriage.

WELL HERES THE THING, WE HAD A WEDDING, BUT THE PAPERS WERE NEVER FILED , THE MAN THAT MARRIED US WAS TO TURN THE PAPERS IN, BUT NEVER DID, BUT MY WHOLE NAME IS ON THE HOUSE AND WE FILED TAXES AS MARRIED.
