Divorce - maybe
My ex-wife filed for divorce a few years back and I filed my response in the court agreeing to everything promptly. A week later she filed a false restraining order on me which was later dismissed. The problem is, the court used the same case number for the restraining order as the divorce. I never received a divorce decree or anything. Does this mean they dismissed the divorce along with the restraining order? If so, is this something I can resolve easily? Or do I have to file all over again. I went to the court and looked through the file and there is nothing stating the divorce is final, just the dismissal of the restraining order. This is in the state of California by the way.

A few years back? And you are just now checking into whether or not you are actually divorced?
Amazing. If you have the case number, go to the courthouse and get a copy of the last few court orders. |

Re: Divorce - maybe
I did go to the court and all they had were the minutes showing dismissal of the case. Is there someone at the court that I can talk to to find out about the divorce?
