Confused ms. frustrated

i filed for divorce last august. we didnt have our first pre trial conference til january. since then, my kids have met with the law guardian and we have had 2 pretrial conferences and a settlement conference with another set for next week on custody. my soon to be ex and i cant agree on anything and its coming down to going to trial soon. he has influenced the kids into wanting to be with him because of his no rules lifestyle. how can i fight this? they are 10 and 16. also, why hasnt the court petitioned him to start helping me pay any of the bills around here? this was another issue since i first filed and hes still working all this overtime and pocketing the money. what can i do about this? he is ruining my credit and i cant keep up payments anymore. on top of that hes been trying to get me out of the house by refinancing the mortage to get my name off it and telling me the judge recommended that he get the house when there is no court order.

Your lawyer needs to get an order as to finances etc. until this is all resolved. Some structure has to be established now. Push the lawyer to do so if need be. Some kind of temporary solution should be available.

Sounds like you lack attorney guidance. Your lawyer should be doing something about this. However, that being said, it is my experience that even if you want to get the divorce over quickly, do not discount going to trial and settle beforehand. Don't make any decisions that you are not comfortable with. If it takes going to trial, do so with full confidence. Good luck.
