Separation, still need financial support

I and my husband are separated. He said he wants a divorce but has not filed yet. He lives in Canada and I live in the US. He gets money each month from a disability. Which is about the same amount I receive each month from working. We have debts in both our names. He just left and refuses to help with any of the debts. He will also becoming into a large substantial settlement for his injuries very soon. I have been a family caregiver for him for 3 years and took care of him while he recovered, now he's better and now hes' getting his money and he wants to just forget about me and take his money and run. Is there a way I can get financial support from him?
