Husband abandoned me
I'm from Montana, I and my husband have been married for 6 years. Recently he said he was going back to Canada for a visit and he never returned. He's from Canada and was injured up there about 3 years ago. I have been his caregiver since then. I work, and also take care of him since he's recovering from his injuries. He has a settlement coming he has a lawyer in Canada. He's going to receive a substantial amount of money. He's about ready to receive his money, so I think He wants it all for himself. We have debts in both of our name. I asked him to send money to help pay for bills and he refuses to give me any money. I don't know what legal rights I have as a wife

You can file for divorce now and the court will help ensure you get your fair share of assets.
