re-entry

I was deported from the U.S.A in 1998 to Guyana, all of my family is in America, I have acquired several award and trophies within the insurance industry where I am employees to date,currently I am the Managing Director of an employment agency, but it has been struggling due to the economic depression here. It has been almost 10 years since my deportation. I believe there was a 10 year period placed on my re-entry. I would like to know if I can return to the U.S., or if the deportation can be waived.
