Anyone know of someone deported than returned?
Hi I was wondering if anyone knows anyone who was deported from the US but was later able to return. My husband was deported and I would like him to apply for the waiver to come back. (he has no felony and his ban is for 10years) I am basically trying to see if this is even possible or if I am wasting time and money. Thanks

A family members husband was deported to Mexico and was told if he returned illegally he would do prison time. So she went to Mexico and got married and then went to the US embassy there and applied for permanent resident. He had to stay there and she had to go for the interview but he was able to return legally. Since he is already there he could try to apply and state that he is already married. Try to get as much evidence that he lived a productive life here and that you need him here with you. If you have the money to get a lawyer over where he is it might be easier but if not then just have him go to the US embassy where he is and apply for entrance to the US. USCIS Home Page is the immigration website maybe you can get extra information from them. If you have kids then its easier to get him approved to returned. You may need to get statements from relatives, friends and co-workers of his stating that is an law abbiding citizen. remember tell them what they want to hear but dont lie.

I would suggest having legal counsel assist. We had an unusual incident in our family and my aunt was let back in, but it was quite a process.
