It has been 4 years (sol in Ca.) now since I received a medical bill. No other notices at all since that last bill, and no payments made. The insurance co. was to have paid this. If they come after me now for payment,I'm I responsible? I have looked at the SOL link at World Law, but it gives me no information of what to do if I am taken to court on an bill that has passed its limit. Is this an easy "Have no case" for the medical company, or I'm is still on the hook? Thank you.

The SOL is a defense to any suit.
If they sue, you have to assert the SOL (if it applies) and the suit will then be dismissed. |
