would like to know how to get a collection agency to stop turning a paid off debt over to other collection agencies, I have finally wrote my attorney generals office to file a complaint, In the meantime im still being harrased by a group called west asset management, which the debt was formerly nco, And before nco a couple was with someone else, please give me some info about what i can do.

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior...
