Hi,
I have question regarding debt collection. I was studying at a university in 2005, I decided to discontinue my studies and informed the university with a letter informing them that I would not be completing my year of study. I have now three years later been contacted by them claiming that I owe the outstanding fees for the rest of the year. I have paid half of the years fees. Their argument is that I owe the money because they cannot find my documentation. I informed them that I had informed them by a certain date. They then replied informing me that I would get a reduction in fees if I had given them notice by a specific date. I informed them that I have done so. I have not had any more contact from them. How would you suggest that I go about responding to the claim? Thank you. |

You may refuse to pay, but it may also help to show more evidence that you withdrew in the correct manner and the school knew about it.
Your professors etc. may comment... |
