I owe hospital bills and have had my paycheck garnished in the past for
seperate hospital bills. the collection lawyer is in the process of trying to garnish my wages again except i have lost my job and am losing my apartment as well...i have 5 children and i really need the money i have coming my question is are they allowed to detach (garnish) my state or federal income tax refunds i have coming in a couple months? |

They can get them if they get the proceeds yes. It may be hard to get it at the source. You may want to try to have it handled without their attention.
