Is it legal in Texas for credit card collection departments to contact the spouse for past due amounts if that spouse is not authorized to use or obtain information on that account? What are that spouse's options if it is not legal?
Thanks, |

Check with your state attorney general as well for the latest rules and regs, but in Texas it seems you can contact a spouse yes.

we had a customer that hired some guy to rebuild a rental house.over the
phone we had a verbal agreement(we told him we would rather not but he insisted it was ok)we talked to the man several times and everything was fine. Then weeks after the job was done & the workers gone this customer is now disputing $10k in sales and merchants services just yanked $3500 out of our account!! can I go to the house and start ripping my building material out? how can he get refunded for material that is built into that house? what do I do? I want to check this guys history also.. During our 12years in business we have never had a cc dispute |

You may file mechanics liens perhaps.
Ask your county clerk for forms and/or check with a lawyer briefly to see if you could file. |
