Being harrassed for Dish TV's mistake not my account

I was hoping for some legal help.

Dish TV, by their own admission, has reported my address of that of somebody with the same name to a credit reporting agency. The SSN's do not match.

GC Serivcs has been calling me 50x a day. No lie, I counted on the caller ID.

I have issued multiple cease and desist orders to Dish TV and the collection agency. Dish TV says it will take them 30 days to fix the error which means I have to get 50 phone calls from the collection agency everyday until the error is fixed. I have filled out a police report and requested a phone tap.

My question is, how long legally does Dish TV have before they are required to fix the error before I can hold them financially responsible?

What is my recourse against the collection agency considering they have been notified verybally as well as by email and fax before I can hold them responsible?

Notify the credit agency as well; they can be held legally responsible and even fined if they fail to investigate.

I sent cease and desist orders to everyone; Dish and the Collection agency.

They have been nofitied verbally and in writing.

I'm sure no matter what happens the collection agency will never stop so I'm prepared to sue everyone once I get the police report in my hand.

Why the credit bureaus, firms and collection agencies aren't held responsible for their mistakes is beyond me but I've had problems in the past with identification errors, 7 years worth BTW, that still aren't fixed.

I would say I'm pretty much done and am ready to pursue legal action to make it as financially painful as possible for them.
