Default money judgement

I live in Louisiana. I am purchasing a trailer and using my land as
collateral. In getting the mortgage certificate I find out there is
a money judgement against my property for a vehicle that was
repossessed before I purchased my property. Is this legal? Can
a judgement be made against the property when I did not own it at the time?
What can I do?

Default Re: money judgement

A judgment creditor can put a lien on land you acquire at any time if the judgment is not satisfied.
