Just found out my wife opened a card in my name 4 months ago and has been hiding it since then. Apparently she replied to a mailed offer and they gave her a card with me as the primary cardholder. She ran the balance up to $10,500.00 maxed out. I did not even know this card existed until 3 days ago and now I am hit with this balance which I cannot pay. Is there any recourse since the card, though in my name, was never actually requested by me and I never actually signed anything? Obviously I will not be pressing charges on my own wife so that is not an option.
