Default Garnishment AZ... I have $2300.00 frozen in my bank account

I'm in Az. I have had 2300.00 frozen in my bank account about 1 week prior to filing chapter 7. Is there any way or possibility of keeping that money? or is it already just gone?
My husband is 76 ill..& we are both still trying to work (we are self employed) we really are so close to living in a cardboard box, & that money means everything to us.
Thanks for any response.

I wish to inform you that you can file a motion for re;lease of your $2300. You may argue that cash belonged to some other person or you can show that cash is either exempt or not for creditors. You can have bank deposit only after showing that creditors cannot have that amount.

This amount in the creditor's hands needs to be listed on the bankruptcy petition for the court may force it to be included as an asset. One creditor may not receive preferential treatment in the weeks before bankruptcy so the court just may force that amount into the assets in banruptcy.

Who authorized the freeze? The IRS?
