my father-in-law passed away a few years ago. THe funeral arrangement payments were verbally agreed to be paid by all 3 of his children. However only 2 of them signed papers. We did NOT sidn anything. Our payments were being made but the others weren't. It went to a collection agency who told us that even though our part is paid, my husbands name will remain on it untill the balance is paid in full! This is on hiscredit report and is holding us back! Can they put his name on down when he hasn't signed anything??!!

Normally no if you did not otherwise agree. You may file in small claims for any damages they cause you. WLD could intervene if needed.
