Default Grounds of Defense - Do I need to file?

I was sued by LVNV Funding and went to first court date. Judge ordered they file bill of particulars instead they are requesting that the matter be non-suited and removed from docket. Do I still have to file my grounds of defense?

I wish to inform you that you must file for grounds of Defense untill court has ordered non suit. At present the Plaintiff had pleaded for non suit but court has not ordered non suit, therefore you must file your grounds of defense so that you are able to have possible defense in your side.

You may file for the record no objection to dismissal. If your time to answer has not elapsed, you may file a general denial along with it. Just hope the court dismisses with prejudice, which you may request when you file your 'no objection' response.
