Collection agency threats
My question is: Is it even possible for a my financial aid to be frozen? Although I was frightened into paying the debt, I still wanted to find out if it was a stupid thing for me to have done. In early January, I was contacted by a collection agency about an old charged off debt. I'm a college student currently recieving financial aid to attend school and the woman I spoke with threatened me with having my financial aid frozen. I would think that would be an exempt article, but I was just so scared that I paid it as soon as I could.
