Confused changing negotiable amount for monthly payment is that possible?

hello,i really need a legal advice,i borrowed money from the son of my employer and we agree the amount of 2,000 shequel (israel money) a month until i finish the total amount of money that i owe him and i signed the letter from the his lawyer. But recently i got problems with money, because im not earning much money and i am supporting my kids,i am a single parent. Now,i speak with the son of my employer to let him know that i could not pay the amount that we agreed, i told him that i can only give 1,000 shequel a month, and he did not agree with that and now he start bothering me that i have to give the written amount on the letter that i signed. What should i do? i really cant give the amount that he wants,i am ready to pay only half of the amount said, please help me. Is there anything that he can do for me? Is he can sue me because of that? He's always bothering me now... i really need your advice.. Thank u so much...

He's "bothering" you now? What did you expect? He loaned you money and you've squelched on the deal. Of course he's "bothering" you. He wants his money back. You have to live up to your promises and agreements or people will "bother" you.

He has the right to collect. He does not have to agree to a change in monthly amount. He reserves the right not to. He agreed to loan you money because you agreed to pay the loan amount back.

Either pay him or he can and will sue you. Once you borrow money from someone and don't pay it back, you can expect to be "bothered" by them. Wouldn't you want your money back if someone promised to pay it back?
