I co signed for a friend\'s auto over 19 years ago. That friend and i lost contact. Apparently the friend either was late paying for the car or had it repossessed. This auto company isnow calling me over 19 years later, trying to collect. Is there a staute of limitation for coming after me?

Yes there is and it long ago expired. Ignore all collection agencies and their attempts to bully you into paying what may or may not even be a bill owed by you.
Check your credit report periodically to make sure this company has not inserted any negative items onto it. I cannot stress enough to have absolutely no communication with them whatsoever. Ignore them. |
