Let's say your original creditor wrote off your debt 2 years ago. I heard they get some kind of tax relief for this. Now 2 years later, can the original creditor take you to court and sue you after writing off your debt if it is still unpaid. They are no longer in the picture.

If the original creditor charged it off, they should not now come back and sue. This could be a case of unfair trading practices. If the debt has been assigned/sold to a collection agency, seek legal counsel if you're being sued by the original creditor. You'll need an attorney who specializes in Consumer Protection.
