Is Account Charged Off
NY
Can you sue a credit card company for a charge they let go through on a closed account and then they sent you to collections and charged off the debt on your credit report? It was charged-off as bad credit. The balance said 0. Then on the same line it said update with the full balance and said it was purchased by a 3rd party debt collector. Am I still responsible for this credit. I am disputing it. |

I am seeing a lot of posts authored by you on this subject.
You have been advised to consult with a Consumer Protection Attorney as, you appear to have numerous debt collectors coming after you. It really is in your best interest to speak to an attorney who specializes in Consumer Protection and possibly Bankruptcy. |

If you charged it you are still responsible to pay for it ---even if they let it through on a closed account.
