It's safe to say the statue of limitations has run out. They can try to collect, but they only way they will succeed is if you acknowledge the debt as yours and agree to pay it. Never negotiate with, or speak with, a collection agency. If it is a collection agency trying to collect, simply ignore them. They cannot collect and they know it. If they place the item on your credit report, sue them. |
