is collection agent really effective?

I am from China and we have a amount due from a Amercian Chinese company in Peru, IL for more than Usd 33,000 which is occrued in Jan 2009. That company agreed to returne all deposit and refund this quality claim in April May, send additional delivery in June. But until now, just keep telling me he will send deliveries soon but until now I have nothing. I talked other comapnies in US knew him, all of them think that guy is a cheater, everyone told me he was stealing money from me. That guy just keep telling me lies because he know it's advantange that it's not easy for me to go to US due to cost and Visa issue.

Can anyone tell me who has experience knowing is collection agent really effective? How much charge they need for this amount.

They can help and often take 33%, but filing suit may be more effective frankly and it is often on the same 33% terms.

I would suggest you email world direct law on their home page and see what they might offer you.
