Default Collection agency withdrew money from my account without my authorization

Collection agency withdrew money from my account without my authorization. I authorize the collection company to withdraw money out of my account in may in which they did on --. This was a one time withdrawal then he would call me back to set up another payment. Well i never spoke with another rep however i have another withdrawal in June..

Is this illegal can they withdraw additional funds without any authorization.

That is illegal. You can file a police report and report that to your bank as fraud.

Oh dear. Why did you give a collection agency your personal information such as a bank account? These agencies are nothing better than con-artists.

It may seem a drastic step to take, but if I were in your position I would close that account asap.

Your first mistake was negotiating, or even talking to them in the first place. Never do that.

If you gave your information away, there really isn't anything your attorney can do for you. It's not considered fraud because you gave the information to them and did not take steps to protect yourself once you discovered what seedy slime these types of people are. Close the account and chalk it up to a mistake you won't repeat again.
