Md. My husband recently passed on and he owned two properties with his sister. Taxes are owed on both. It will cost me more to get my name on the deeds than what they are worth. (Florida Land) Am I legally responsible to go through with the probate proceedings to get my name on the deeds? My name was never on either one, but in the will he left almost everything to me with the exception of some money he left to his daughter.

You don't have to accept the properties--you ate not legally forced to take them.
