Default Owed for goods

My cousin and her husband ask me to buy a gun, that a friend had for sell, for them and they would cut me a check soon as they got it. I bought the gun, US postal service mailed it to them and they received it in short order. That was about 6 months ago and I cannot get them to resond to email, phone calls or mail.
How can I collect the money with out going 2000 miles to do it?

I'd be more concerned with asking why they needed you to buy the gun. Maybe they aren't allowed to play with them anymore and you gave them a new one. You might have just committed a crime.

I hope you noticed that i said it was my cousin and her husband. They are hunters and collect guns as well. The last time I was out there hunting with them they told me to keep my eye open for this particular gun.

No tricky stuff here, matter of fact he has a FFA license.
