Default returning a car to creditor

I filed Chapter 7 last May. I am married but my husband didn't file. All my debits were in my name only. I secured the payments on my 2007 vehicle, but since then I have not been able to make the payments. I know I can turn the car back into the creditor, but can they make my husband pay for the loan on the car? He is not a signer on the car loan.

No they cannot unless you live in a community property state.
