repossession

NC I am behind on my bills and I contacted CCCS out of Atlanta, GA to help me consolidate so I dont lose anything. I had just sent the money and paperwork to CCCS when I had a repo man come to my house and want a utility trailer but I had let my friend borrow it. He left but I am wondering if there is anything I can do further to try and save my items. I contacted the Collections agency and they wanted me to postdate a check for the end of the month. That is 20 days from now and I am afraid they will try and cash it earlier and get me for writing a bad check or take the money and still repossess the trailer. What should I do?

Don't post-date checks.

Ask the agency if they are doing anything for you on this.

But otherwise unless you declare bankruptcy, there is not too much you can unless the lenders will negotiate with you.

Thanks for the info. hopefully cccs will get something worked out. Also if they did get the utility trailer and auction it off would that be it or would i have to pay the difference? it dont make sense if i cant afford it what makes them think i can afford to pay the difference
