Unhappy Credit card Debt Court Order Please help :=(
Hi,

Could anyone shed any advice

My brother who is not in the country is being sued for some debt which was written off more than 4 years ago (It got bought by the collection company)

He cannot attend the court since he has no valid visa to enter the country

What are his options?

Can I represent him in court

Is there any thing else I can do?

Normally he has to be personally served court papers to make the hearing valid--he can call the clerk and say he was never served. If the court deems him served or he has been served, then he should hire a lawyer to represent him--you normally cannot do so.
