court date???

Texas I have an account that is deliquent, I tried to make arrangement with them before it became deliquent and they would not offer any help at all, so, I did what I had to do. My daughter answered a call last week and they asked for my husband when she told them he was not home they said for him or his lawer to call them asap because they have a court date set up for a little over two weeks away. My question is ,can they have a date set up without us knowing anything about it?

No--they have to have court papers served on your personally.

I thought I had to be served, I guess this is one of their scare tactics to get us to call them. Thanks

If you live in usa you go on you computer, go to your county court web page. This should show you if there is any legal action though the court system against you.
