Extended SOL?
In Aug. 2008 Ohio extended the SOL to 15 years. If I had debts that had already past the previous sol, do these old debts now fall into the new 15 year plan? Are they now open to collectors again?

Please answer this guys/gals reqest. I was wondering the same thing in Ca. if the law changes to allow extending SOL in Ca. is any previous debt now open to collectors again?

Normally the extension would apply to debts incurred after the legislation passed and became effective.
But check with your state attorney general's consumer affairs office as well to confirm. |
